Media_httpsiliconangl_tdsyf
Job growth and social change are at the core of Facebook’s impending IPO. It’s a heart-warming thought coming from Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s COO, over the weekend. In today’s market, IPOs in any industry are questioned as sound investments, and the mere mention of Facebook’s IPO will set off a flurry of discussions and comparisons. Malware vs Adware: they both suck for you- Kristen Nicole | @Appolicious

Media_httpc1345842cdn_ggbrw

This question’s been raised in regards to the latest string of Android Market botnets uncovered by Symantec, in what could be the largest botnet setup in Android’s history with as many as 5 million victims. Dubbed ‘Android.Counterclank’ (or ‘Apperhand SDK’) by Symantec, the malware was packaged across 13 different Android apps from different publishers, with titles ranging from Sexy Girls Puzzle to Counter Strike Ground Force. “They don’t appear to be real publishers,” Kevin Haley, a director with Symantec’s security response team, said. “These aren’t rebundled apps, as we’ve seen so many times before.”

Media_httpsiliconangl_iatdj

Then the “four horsemen” of IT emerged in the form of Microsoft, Intel, Dell and Cisco, which roamed from company to company, dominating everything IT…

Box, YouSendIt Weigh in on Megaupload drama | @SiliconANGLE

Media_httpsiliconangl_nbmys
How will cloud file sharing sites that fall beneath the umbra of the DMCA and other copyright legislation who also permit users to share large files with one another react the current legislative and executive climate? Only recently, laws that would have given tremendous powers to copyright holders and the government to shut off foreign sites—and especially those that enable file sharing in the cloud—have been permanently shelved; but the philosophy that underpins them still flows in undercurrents with copyright law…

“Don’t Be Evil” Takes On “Share Plus Your World” | @SiliconANGLE

Earlier this month Google launched “Search Plus Your World,” the integration of Google+ when users do an online search of anything.
