Jerry Yang stepped down from the board of Yahoo and severed all ties with Yahoo the company that he founded. As the young Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg rises taller everyday, the legend Jerry Yang sails into the sunset. This must be painful for Jerry since Yahoo could have bought Facebook for $700m only a few years ago. Facebook now looking to be worth hundreds of billions. Welcome to Silicon Valley. This represents the end of the Yahoo era where Jerry held on as long as he could. In the end the lack of innovation and mismanagement crippled Yang’s ability to take Yahoo to the next level.
